Introduction - Visitor Management
Everybody on site who is not an employee, from arrival to sign out, in one log.
A visitor is anybody on site without an employee record: a contractor, a candidate, an auditor, a customer. The log exists so that a fire roll call is a list rather than a guess.

The four counts

- Currently Inon site now
- Checked in and not yet out. This is the figure a fire warden needs.
- Today's Visitorssince midnight
- Everybody who has arrived today, whether or not they have left.
- Checked Outgone
- Visits closed today.
- Overstayunclosed
- Visits still open past when they should have ended. Either somebody is still here or a sign-out was missed.
What a visit records
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Visitor | Their name and contact number, with initials as an avatar. |
| Purpose | Why they came. Common purposes render as coloured chips; anything typed in freely shows as plain text. |
| Host | The employee they came to see. This is the required field, and the one that makes the log useful afterwards. |
| Check In and Check Out | Time above date, for both ends of the visit. |
| Status | In or Out. |
