Introduction - Holiday Calendar
The days nobody is expected in, per depot, and what they do to attendance and leave.
A holiday is a day Worklink does not expect attendance for. It is neither present nor absent, it costs nobody a leave day, and it is subtracted from any leave request that spans it.
This screen is where you check what is on the calendar. Adding to it happens in Settings.
The two halves
- The month gridwhere the days fall
- Holidays shaded, weekends greyed and today outlined. Stepping months with the arrows keeps the list beside it in view.
- The holiday listthe whole year
- Every holiday that applies to the selected depot, with its date, its weekday and whether it is national.
- The legendthree states
- Holiday, Weekend and Today. Fewer states than the attendance calendar, because this screen is not about people.
- The location pickertop right
- Which depot's calendar you are reading, and the reason the count changes.
The count depends on the depot
This is the part that surprises people. A holiday can be scoped to particular work locations, so the same organisation shows a different number at different sites.
What a holiday changes

| The attendance calendar | The day is marked Holiday, in pink, and nobody counts as absent. |
| Attendance records | No record is expected, so the day does not appear as a gap. |
| A leave request spanning it | The day is not counted, so the request costs one day fewer. |
| Month summaries | It is not a working day, so it is out of the present-over-working-days figure. |
