Add a Designation

Create a job title for the organisation, and write the description that keeps it distinct.

Adding a title is a two-field job. It opens in a panel beside the list rather than on its own page, so the titles you already have stay in view while you name a new one.

  1. Select Add Designation on the Designations screen. The panel opens over the list.

The Add Designation panel sliding in over the Designations list. The panel is headed Add Designation with the breadcrumb Worklink, Designations, Add Designation. A Designation Details section holds a Designation Name field marked required with the placeholder e.g. Software Engineer, and a Description field with the placeholder Brief description of this role. Cancel and Save buttons sit at the foot.
  2. Enter the Designation Name. It is the only required field, and it is what appears on every employee holding it.

  3. Write a Description. It is optional and worth doing, because nothing else on the list separates two titles that sound alike.

  4. Select Save. The title becomes available immediately, with no employees against it until you assign some.
