Find and organise products

Search, filter and sort the Products list, choose the columns it shows, and act on several products at once.

The Products list is where most storefront work starts, and it holds the whole catalogue rather than the published part of it. The toolbar above the table narrows what you are looking at; the checkboxes down the left decide what you act on.

The Products list narrowed by the filter pills above the table, with the Published and Goods filters applied and the result count updated underneath.
The filter pills combine, and the narrowing lives in the address of the page.

Narrow the list

Search products
Matches on the words in a product, including its SKU. The list updates as you type.
All statuses
Published or Draft.
All categories
One of your product categories.
All types
Goods or Service.

Each pill goes back to showing everything when you choose its All entry, and clearing the search box does the same. The filters combine, so a search inside a category narrows both at once.

Sort and choose columns

Select a column heading to sort by it, and select it again to reverse the direction. The controls at the right of the toolbar open Manage Columns, where you choose which columns appear and in what order. That choice is yours and is remembered.

Act on several products

  1. Select the checkbox at the start of each product's row.

  2. Choose an action on the bar that appears: Publish to storefront, Unpublish, Move to category or Delete.

  3. Confirm if you are asked to. Deleting always asks.

Select the cross at the end of the bar to clear the selection, or press Esc, which does the same thing without reaching for the mouse.

Products with variants in the list

A product with options appears as one row with its variant count in the Inventory column rather than a stock figure. Expand it to see the variants indented underneath, each with its own SKU, price and stock. The variants are the rows you select and act on; the parent is a heading.

Move through the pages

The foot of the table says which products you are looking at and how many there are in total. Change Rows per page to see more at once, and use the arrows beside it to move between pages.
