Add sections to a page

Open Manage sections on a page, stack the bands it is built from, and configure each one.

A page is built out of sections, the same way the homepage is. Manage sections is where you stack them, set them in order and fill each one in.

The Page sections editor for a content page, listing the sections it is built from with a switch and a delete control on each, and an Add section button at the top right.
A page is a stack of sections, the same as the homepage.

Open the section editor

  1. Go to Pages and open the page.

  2. Select Manage sections.

The editor lists the sections already on the page, top to bottom in the order a visitor meets them.

Add a section

  1. Select Add section.

  2. Choose the type. Each one is described beside its name.

  3. Expand the new section and fill in its fields.

  4. Select Save config.

Every section, whatever its type, also has an Appearance group holding a background colour and a text colour. Leave both empty to keep the section's built-in look, which is usually the right answer.

Reorder, turn off and remove

The carets
Move the section up or down the page.
The switch
Turns the section off without losing what you put in it. Useful for a seasonal band you will want back.
The delete control
Removes the section and its settings for good.

A page written in prose

For a page that is mostly writing, such as terms or a privacy notice, one Text Block section is the whole page. Add it, write into its editor, save, and stop there.
