The section types
The eleven kinds of band a homepage or a content page can be built from, and what each one asks you for.
The same eleven types are offered on the homepage and on a content page. A section's type is chosen when you add it and cannot be changed afterwards, so this is the list to read before you add one.

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hero Banner | A large heading with a subtitle and one call-to-action button. Takes a text alignment and two size choices. |
| Featured Products | A grid of products drawn from one collection, up to a limit you set. |
| Collection Grid | A row of collection cards, named by a comma-separated list of handles. |
| Promotional Banner | A single line of text with an optional link. |
| Text Block | A block of rich text, written in the same editor as a product description. |
| Value Props / Stats | A heading and a row of cards, each an icon, a figure, a label and a line of description. |
| Live Support Badge | A status pill with a live clock, taking a label, a team status and a timezone. |
| Quote / Enquiry Form | A contact form that raises an enquiry. Takes a heading, a subtitle and the wording on its button. |
| Contact Methods | Accent-coloured cards for phone, email or chat, each with availability, response time and its own button. |
| Call-to-Action Band | A heading, a set of buttons and a checklist of reasons to trust you. |
| Locations / Global Presence | A row of country cards, each with a flag, a country and a city, in a light or dark treatment. |
The ones that repeat
Five types hold a list you add to rather than a fixed set of fields: Value Props / Stats, Contact Methods, Call-to-Action Band (both its buttons and its checklist), and Locations / Global Presence. Each row is added one at a time and can be removed on its own.
Keep these lists short. Four value props read as a claim; nine read as a wall.
The ones that read the catalogue
Featured Products and Collection Grid take collection handles rather than product names, which is what lets them stay current. Everything else on the list shows what you typed into it and nothing more.
Choosing between a banner and a hero
- Hero Banner
- The opening statement. One per page, at the top, with the heading a visitor reads first.
- Promotional Banner
- One line, anywhere in the stack. For something temporary, such as free carriage over a threshold.
