Inbox

Mail as it arrives in this shared inbox.

Inbox holds mail as it arrives in this shared inbox, visible to every member, not just whoever it ends up assigned to.

The four tabs

A shared inbox sorts itself by who is dealing with what, which a plain mailbox cannot do.

Unassigned: Arrived, and nobody has taken it. This is the queue the address exists to clear, and it's the tab the Inbox opens on.
Assigned: Someone's name is on it, so everyone else can leave it alone.
Waiting: Answered, and now waiting on somebody outside the team.
Resolved: Finished, kept for the record.
