# Raise a Regularization

Ask for a correction to an attendance day, and pick the request type that fits what happened.

Pick the type first. Everything under it is generated from that choice, so an empty-looking form is a form waiting on its first answer.

> **Before you start:**
>
> Have two things to hand: which calendar day went wrong, and what really happened on it. Everything else on the form is either chosen from a list or filled in for you.

- Open **New Request** and start with **Request Type**. The rest of the fields appear once it is set.

![The New Regularization Request form with Forgot to clock out selected as the Request Type and the date 08/09/2026. A Times section carries the note Enter the time you actually checked out, it is prefilled with your shift end time, adjust if needed, above an End Time field reading 17:00. A Reason section below is marked required with the placeholder Describe the reason for this request. Cancel and Submit Request buttons sit at the foot.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/regularizations/new-request.png)
- Point the **Date** at the affected day.
- Adjust the times. Worklink seeds them from your assigned pattern, so most of the time you are confirming a figure rather than entering one.
- Explain yourself in the **Reason** box. Two people will read it before the record moves.
- Select **Submit Request**.

## The six types

| Type | Raise it when | It asks for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Forgot to clock in | You worked but never started the clock. | The time you arrived. |
| Forgot to clock out | The day is still open because you never stopped it. | The time you left. |
| Missed punch | Both ends are missing, or no record appeared at all. | Both times. |
| Overtime approval | You worked beyond your scheduled hours and want it recognised. | A From and Until span. |
| Shift change | You worked a different pattern from the one you are assigned. | The pattern you actually worked. |
| Work from home | You worked, but not from a depot. | The date and the reason. |

> **Tip:**
>
> **Write the reason for somebody who was not there**
>
> "Kiosk at Goods In was offline" tells an approver everything. "Forgot" tells them nothing and invites a question that delays the decision by a day.

> **Note:**
>
> **One request, one day**
>
> A request corrects a single date. A week of days lost to an offline terminal is a week of requests, which is the point at which an administrator should be re-importing the period instead.
