# Complete an Assigned Course

Work through the modules and tasks, and collect the certificate at the end.

A course is finished when every module and every task is ticked. Progress is recorded against your assignment, not against the program, so it is yours alone and it is what reporting counts.

- Open **My Training** and start with the **Overdue** count. Those are the courses already past their deadline.

![Four count cards across the top of My Training reading 6 Assigned, 0 In Progress, 4 Completed and 2 Overdue, each with an icon.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/my-training/progress-cards.png)
- Work through **Modules** in order. A module carrying a video chip opens it in place; select the module to mark it done, and it is struck through with a tick.

![Two panels side by side. Modules, marked 2 of 2, lists Fire Science and Extinguisher Types with a blue video chip beneath it, and Evacuation and Roll Call, both struck through with green ticks. Tasks, marked 2 of 2, lists Extinguisher selection quiz and Walk the depot sweep route, each with a line reading Complete and submit, both struck through with green ticks.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/my-training/modules-and-tasks.png)
- Do each entry under **Tasks**. These sit outside the material, so a task stays open until you have actually done and submitted the thing it names.
- When the bar reaches one hundred per cent, collect the certificate. Select the download button to save a copy.

> **Note:**
>
> **Your assessor writes the Performance note, not you**
>
> The Performance panel fills in after you finish, when whoever assessed you records the outcome. A completed course with an empty Performance panel is waiting on them, not on you, and it does not hold up the certificate.

> **Tip:**
>
> **Check the certificate is still Valid**
>
> Certificates for safety courses expire. The badge beside the reference says whether yours still stands, and a course that has lapsed will usually be assigned to you again rather than reopened.
