# Introduction - My Attendance

Your own working day in Worklink: the clock, the shift behind it, and the month so far.

**Video coming soon:** A tour of My Attendance: the clock, the shift it is measured against, and the month so far.

My Attendance is the one screen in Worklink that is always about you. It opens on today, shows the clock running against the shift you are assigned to, and keeps the rest of the month in view beside it.

Everyone has this screen. It needs no permission, because it never shows anybody else's day.

![The My Attendance screen, headed My Attendance above the greeting Good Morning, Eleanor. A band across the top reads Net Working Time 00:00:00 with Effective, Breaks and Remaining figures, the words Not Checked In, and a green Check In button. Below it, cards for My Shift, This Week and September Summary, then Upcoming, Celebrations, Announcements and Quick Actions.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/my-attendance/my-attendance-page.png)

*The whole screen. The band at the top is today; everything under it is context for today.*

## What the screen holds

The page is one live band and a grid of cards. The band is the only part that changes while you watch it.

- **The timer band** (today, live): Net working time, what you have taken as breaks, what is left of the shift, and the button that starts or stops the clock.
- **My Shift** (what you are measured against): The shift you are on, its start and end, your scheduled hours, your break allowance and which days of the week you work.
- **This Week** (the last seven days): A bar per day of hours worked, so a short day stands out against the ones either side of it.
- **Month summary** (the running totals): Days present out of working days, days absent, times late and overtime accrued, with the month's progress underneath.

## Your shift is what makes a number mean anything

The clock on its own only counts. It is the shift that decides whether what it counted was early, late, complete or over.

A clock icon beside the shift name Office Standard, a My Shift tag, the hours 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM, the line Today, Tuesday, then two tiles reading 8.5h Scheduled Hours and 60m Break, above a row of weekday initials with Tuesday highlighted.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/my-attendance/my-shift.png)

*Office Standard, 08:30 to 17:00, 8.5 scheduled hours and an hour of break. The highlighted initial is today.*

> **Note:**
>
> **A missing shift is why a day can look wrong**
>
> If nobody has assigned you a shift, there is no expected start and end to measure your day against, so it cannot be marked late, early or short. Your administrator assigns shifts; ask them rather than raising a correction.

## Where the rest of the page leads

The cards below the fold are shortcuts, not separate records. Each one opens something documented elsewhere in Self Service.

![The Quick Actions card. Four rows, each with an icon on the left and an arrow on the right: Reports, Apply Leave, Leave Balance and My Training.](https://www.sorviai.com/help/worklink/my-attendance/quick-actions.png)

*Four shortcuts to the screens people open most. Apply Leave and Leave Balance are the two that matter here.*

| Card | What it shows | Where it goes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Upcoming | Leave and holidays falling in the next thirty days. | Your own leave, in My Leaves. |
| Celebrations | Birthdays and work anniversaries across the organisation. | Nowhere; it is a read-only courtesy. |
| Announcements | Notices published to everyone, newest first. | The full notice, expanded in place. |
| Quick Actions | Reports, Apply Leave, Leave Balance and My Training. | The four screens people reach for most. |
