# Inbox

Mail as it arrives in this shared inbox.

**Inbox** holds mail as it arrives in this shared inbox, visible to every member, not just whoever it ends up assigned to.

## The four tabs

A shared inbox sorts itself by who is dealing with what, which a plain mailbox cannot do.

- **Unassigned**: Arrived, and nobody has taken it. This is the queue the address exists to clear, and it's the tab the Inbox opens on.
- **Assigned**: Someone's name is on it, so everyone else can leave it alone.
- **Waiting**: Answered, and now waiting on somebody outside the team.
- **Resolved**: Finished, kept for the record.
